Where Food Comes From, Inc. was originally founded as IMI Global in 1995 with a focus around traceability in the livestock industry. In 2006, founders, John and Leann Saunders grew the company by diversifying and WFCF acquired additional businesses to round out its certification portfolio and IMI Global became a division of WFCF.  Below you will see the various divisions of WFCF that have been acquired over the years. Ask us about bundling various programs into one audit for you!

Where Food Comes From Organic

WFCF Organic, formerly named A Bee Organic, was founded in 2010 and now has many international clients and is one of the few certification bodies that verifies hydroponic operations.  

ICS

Founded in 1979 by Fred Kirschmann, a longtime leader in organic and sustainable agriculture, ICS was one of the first organic certification companies in the U.S.  ICS continues to be a leader in the organic certification industry, and will soon transition their organic certification clients to WFCF Organic.

IMI Global, now a division of WFCF, is the leading verification provider to the beef and livestock industries.

Postelsia

With a focus on fisheries and aquaculture production, Postelsia aims to have a positive influence on the world by connecting producers, buyers and consumers.
