CASTLE ROCK, Colo. – October 11, 2018 – Where Food Comes From, Inc. (WFCF) (OTCQB: WFCF), the most trusted resource for independent, third-party verification of food production practices in North America, today announced that its Validus Animal Welfare Review Dairy Program (AWRD) has been evaluated and confirmed by the USDA to meet the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Specification (TS) 34700 — Animal Welfare Management/General Requirements and Guidance for Organizations in the Food Supply Chain.

The TS 34700 program establishes a framework to evaluate industry animal welfare programs to confirm their standards are rooted in science and can be widely accepted both at a domestic and international level.

The addition of the TS 34700 evaluation only adds to a well-established and respected list of accreditations associated with the Validus AWRD program, including approval as a USDA Process Verified Program, Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization (PAACO) and, most notably, ISO 9001:2015 accreditation for quality.

“The Validus AWRD program has been the most comprehensive animal welfare standard in the dairy industry since its inception,” said Leann Saunders, President of Where Food Comes From. “With an expert committee responsible for the standard’s oversight, rigorous development protocols, and requirements for 100% onsite audits annually, we had no doubt it would meet the evaluation requirements of the TS 34700.  We are pleased to see its continued growth and recognition as a program with the highest levels of quality, integrity and value the industry has to offer today.”
