Gobble Down Safe Food this Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving almost here I wanted to share some of my favorite food safety tips to help keep your dinner happy and illness free! There are a lot of things to be thankful for and one of those is the abundant and typically very safe food supply that the USA enjoys. When it comes to a meal centered on an [initially] uncooked bird, it’s important to take precautions. It’s a pesky side effect of dealing with raw food, especially meat, but there are simple ways to reduce risk.

Before we get too deep into the topic, remember to wash your hands! That is one of the most effective steps in preventing the spread of ANY illness. Use soap and warm water while singing the Happy Birthday song twice or the ABCs once.
