The Failed Congressional Super Committee

The outcome was as usual from our leaders in Washington (and I use the term loosely)—No agreement.

$1.2 trillion in federal net spending cuts were not found by the Congressional Super Committee.  The prospects for passage of the Farm Bill five year reauthorization through the Super Committee have also been dashed.  The Farm Bill must pass next year or the programs have to be extended.  The former is near impossible to achieve in a Presidential election year and the latter is highly unlikely.  Disappointing and frustrating outcomes all around.
